Read-a-Thon instructions:

Get lots of sponsors!
Need ideas for books? Go to your local library or check out the American Library Association summer reading list at www.ala.org.
If you are currently in kinder or first grade (first or second grade in Fall 2019):
Record the titles of the books you read over the summer. You will get points for every book you read. 0-50 page
books are worth one point. 50+ page books are worth two points (see example 1).
If you are currently in second, third or fourth grade (third, fourth or fifth grade in Fall 2019):
Record the titles of the books you read, AND record the number of minutes you read. Each minute is worth one
point (see example 2).
On the last day of summer break, tally your points or minutes! Have your parents sign the envelope.
Collect cash/checks from your sponsors or direct them to the online donation website: https://read2019.givesmart.com. Thank them for their support!
Return your envelope with money, sponsor sheet and book log to school NO LATER than Friday, August 30th.

PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE FIRST AND SECOND GRADERS WHO READ THE MOST BOOKS, AND THE THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADERS WHO READ FOR THE MOST MINUTES.
